PACTH 2009 Annual Membership Meeting & Clinic

 

 

This year we are pleased to host Daniel Stewart as the clinician for the 2009 Annual Membership Meeting and Clinic to be held on March 21, 2009 at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA.

 

 

Daniel Stewart has been a successful international competitor and trainer for over 20 years.  From 1999 to 2007 he coached riders on several U.S. teams to success at many world championships and Olympics.  he currently divides his time between Andalusia, Spain and Santa Barbara, California and is the author of the internationally acclaimed book "Ride Right."  Prior to becoming a U.S. coach, he earned a degree in Exercise Science and Psychology and worked as a consultant to other national riding teams including Portugal and Canada.  In 2008 he left the U.S. team to share his knowledge with the U.S. riding community and is now considered one of the world's leading authorities on equestrian biomechanics, conditioning and sport psychology.  He teaches clinics and seminars to thousands of riders each year.

SPORT PSYCHOLOGY SEMINAR

 

This very humorous approach to rider-psychology teaches stress-management, positive-thinking, visualization, and goal-setting techniques.  Learn to improve your enjoyment, confidence and performance by eliminating stress, performance anxiety and fear from your riding experiences.

 

SYMMETRY AND BALANCE WORKSHOP

 

This un-mounted workshop teaches rider-specific exercises using a special balance board developed especially for equestrians.  The fun and effective exercises improve your riding by helping you identify and solve imperfections with your balance, symmetry, posture, body-awareness and suppleness.

VIDEO ANALYSIS CLINIC

Equitation and Symmetry Analysis

 

This video clinic helps riders identify ways to imiprove their position on the flat.  Does your leg swing at the canter, do you have difficulty sitting the trot, do you put more weight in one stirrup or seat bone, sit crooked or have one leg that works better?  If so, this clinic helps you identify the causes and, more importantly, the solutions!

 

  • Riding session to videotape your position
  • Lecture on the causes and solution of common riding problems
  • Analysis of your video to identify ways to improve your position
  • Follow-up lesson to improve any imperfections found in your video
