CECTH and Wilson College (host site) brought in Interactive Vaulting clinician, Gisela Heimsath Rhodes. Following an initial lecture about Interactive Vaulting, everyone moved on to the vaulting barrels to learn how to vault on and off safely. As confidence grew, so did the barrel movements. We moved on to the exercises used in Interactive Vaulting -- the ring literally looked like a playground! At last we were able to take our turns getting on (some with more success than others) the horse. Dependent upon our comfort level, we were able to practice some of the movements that we learned on the barrels. By the end of the day, we were all inspired and ready to begin the process of becoming qualified to incorporate Interactive Vaulting into our programs.
Since this clinic, CECTH is working toward additional clinics for Instructors to become certified in Interactive Vaulting.
